Plácido Domingo conducts Bizet’s opera about a woman who is loved by two men. Nino Michaidze stars as the object of their affection. Grant Gershon conducts the final two performances. This is the second Bizet opera of the season for LA Opera. His Carmen recently concluded its run. Performances through October 28th.

The Madwoman of Chaillot – A Noise Within

An highly acclaimed production of the play by Jean Giraudoux in which a crazy woman named Countess Aurelia and her friends try to undermine the intentions of corporate profiteers in Paris. This play was the basis for Jerry Herman’s music Dear World. The translation is by Maurice Valency.
Marilu Henner – Catalina Bar & Grill

Best known for her role on television’s Taxi, Marilu Henner tells stories from her life and career and throws in songs from Chicago, Grease and other Broadway shows.
Jonathan Biss – The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts

In this solo recital, acclaimed classical pianist Jonathan Biss will be playing Schumann’s Fantasie in C Major, Beethoven’s “Tempest” Sonata and other pieces.
