A multitude of characters involved in the sex trade forms the foundation of Sell/Buy/Date, a new one-woman show written and performed by Sarah Jones that opens Tuesday at the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theatre at the Geffen Playhouse. Sell/Buy/Date is directed by Carolyn Cantor.

Sarah Jones is best known for her show Bridge & Tunnel, her previous one-woman show that was produced by Meryl Streep. When that show transferred to the Helen Hayes Theatre, Jones was awarded a Special Tony Award for her work.

For Sell/Buy/Date, Jones depicts a number of people who not only work in the business of sex but also some who are affected by it. Expect characters of any gender, a wide range of ethnicities and economic classes. You can also expect a terrific performance by Jones in the show.

Below is a promo clip for the show’s production in New York at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

Buy/Sell/Date begins performances on March 6th and runs through April 11th.
