When you combine one of the best female singers with one of the funniest male singers you have a delightful evening. And that’s precisely what’s in store when Liz Callaway & Jason Graae team up for Happily Ever After on Thursday at the Catalina Bar and Grill. And if you’re in San Diego you can see them on Wednesday at Martini’s Above Fourth . And they conclude their quick tour on Friday at The Purple Room in Palm Springs.

Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in Baby and was highly praised for her performance as Grizabella in Cats. Jason Graae, who will soon join the touring production of Wicked as The Wizard, has appeared on Broadway in A Grand Night for SingingFalsettos and Stardust.

These concerts as billed as being a  “romantic, but platonic evening of love songs.” There will also be plenty of humor involved. Graae has a quick wit and sharp improvisational skills. Callaway can sing circles around most other singers.

Here’s a sample of what they do from a promo for an appearance three years ago:
