This year marks the 40th anniversary season for the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. And being that it is December that means it is time for their holiday spectacular. Calling All Angels is that show and there are three performances this weekend at the Alex Theatre in Glendale. Two shows on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday.

Though details aren’t readily available, I’ve heard that the emphasis this year will definitely be on having fun. Of course, it isn’t like other shows haven’t also had their share of joy.

Whether they are performing serious music or comedy material, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles is one of the premiere men’s choral groups in the country. Their passion and sheer joy means each and every concert will be a thoroughly entertaining couple of hours. Mix in some holiday joy and you have one of the best seasonal concerts of the year.
