With their show at South Coast Repertory, Culture Clash (Still) in America, no doubt this trio of performers is continuing their tradition of satire. A tradition sorely needed in our country at this time. Their show, which opened just prior to the New Year, continues at SCR in Costa Mesa through January 20th.

Once again Richard Montoya, Ricardo Salinas and Herbert Siguenza fix their eyes on current events and everything that’s absurd about it all. Lisa Petersen, who worked with the trio on their show Chavez Ravine in 2015, directs here.

Based on the photos on SCR’s website, one can assume that ICE, multi-cultural politics and drag are part of this show.

Culture Clash (Still) in America marks the first time these guys have been back at SCR in nearly 10 years. And one additional reason to check this show out is that it is appearing in the smaller of the two main theatres at SCR. This allows for a much more intimate and also immediate experience.
