There isn’t much that is opening this week due to the holidays. So we won’t have any new events to share with you until next week. However, there are several things still running to consider if you want some culture this week. Please check back as we will have new interviews with two dancers appearing in Swan Lake and also some interview highlights that didn’t make it in posts from 2019.
August Wilson’s Jitney continues at the Mark Taper Forum through December 29th. This is theatre at its best. Do not miss your chance to see an amazing ensemble in this powerful play directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson. For more details on this show check out our interviews with Steven Anthony Jones and Francois Battiste.
Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake continues at the Ahmanson Theatre through January 5th.
Ledisi: The Legend of Little Girl Blue continues at The Wallis through December 29th.
You have only Christmas Eve as your last chance to see Hal Landon, Jr., in his final performances as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa. The show closes December 24th. There are two performances – one at noon and a final performance at 4:00 PM.
Bob Baker Theatre’s Holiday on Strings continues at their new home in Highland Park through January 5th.
We wish you and your family all the best for 2019 and the roaring 20s that are fast-approaching.
