Tye Blue, a Houston native and also a director of several shows at Rockwell Table and Stage, has put together an evening of music to benefit The Houston Food Bank and The Montrose Center’s LGBTQ Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The evening is called Stand Up and Sing for Houston. Amongst the performers will be Brian Justin Crum (a finalist in last season’s America’s Got Talent), Emma Hunton (Wicked, Freaky Friday), Carly Hughes (American Housewife), Kelley Jackle (Pitch Perfect), Alex Wyse (The Bold and the Beautiful), Dionne Gipson (Illicit) and more. If you’re a fan of the many talented people who have appeared in the For the Record and Unauthorized Musical Parody shows, you’ll see many of the talented people from those productions. Tickets range from $25-$250. The event is Friday night only at the historic El Cid in Silver Lake.
