Around the world Meow Meow is considered one of the most unique performers. Her concerts regularly sell out and she garners rave reviews wherever she goes. With her concert on Friday night, Los Angeles has its first real chance to see what the buzz is all about.

Meow Meow performs as part of the CAP-UCLA series at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. Joining her as accompanist is Thomas M. Lauderdale (best known as a member of Pink Martini.) On her website she is described as a post-post modern diva. Her repertoire includes works by Brecht, Weill, Jacques Brel, Radiohead and original songs. To see her perform “Surabaya Johnny” is to watch a force of nature.

She also performs in plays having recently played Titana in a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare’s Globe. Meow finds herself equally comfortable singing the music of Schubert and Schumann.

In short, Meow Meow is extraordinarily talented and this is a great opportunity to see her do what she does best….sing.
