Twin brothers Jack and Benny Lipson have an intriguing offer for those of you who are alone, lonely or just tired of being with the person you’re spending a whole lot of time with right now. They are presenting I’ll Quarantine Myself With You on their Instagram account (jackbennynow) on Thursday at 8 PM PDT.

The brothers, who have previously gone by the name jackbenny, now identify as Jack and Benny Lipson. But whatever name you put to them, you are still guaranteed the same clever, intelligent and thoughtful songwriting paired with passionate and playful performance.

The brothers recently held a show on February 29th called And On the 366th Day at Luckman Fine Arts. They had been scheduled to appear in New York when the pandemic stopped everything in its tracks. So perhaps one positive thing to come out of our current situation is new entertainment from the brothers Lipson.

Jack is most commonly found on the piano and Benny on the bass (whether stand-up or electric), but something tells me there might be some surprises in store with I’ll Quarantine Myself With You.

I do anticipate that this concert will be much like the traditional things you want at a wedding: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Of course, I could just share the text they posted on the very same Instagram account where the show will be seen:

“This show collects songs and sketches from our recent and suspended engagements plus new musical responses to our new circumstances.”
