To close out the year I’m posting videos from the top 12 interviews from 2024. These were a mix of my personal favorites, some of your favorites and a few that may have slipped under the radar. It all leads up to number 1. This was the video that was most widely-watched, most widely-commented on and from my perspective was just pure fun. Number 1 is LUCIE ARNAZ.
In October of last year, Arnaz was doing the West Coast cabaret swing with shows at Feinstein’s at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco, Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood and the Purple Room in Palm Springs.
When we spoke not only was she gearing up for seven performances (and not of the same show at each venue), but she was also preparing for her husband’s 90th birthday. She’s been married to Laurence Luckinbill for 44 years. He, along with us all, recognize that there’s more than one Lucy we love.
“I just had no idea what I was good at. I had no idea where I was going. My brother was already in a rock group and was a rock and roll star at 11. My mother had this great television series. My father was a producer, ran a studio. [He] had this band, he made all this gorgeous music. What is it that I do? I hadn’t found the theater yet.”
