To close out the year I’m posting videos from the top interviews from 2025. These were a mix of my personal favorites, some of your favorites and a few that may have slipped under the radar. I’m posting these chronologically. I begin with Broadway star Aaron Lazar.

We spoke early in 2025 about his album “Impossible Dream.” It received a Grammy nomination and featured Lazar and many Broadway stars joining together to sing songs from Broadway and the great American songbook. Amongst the stars joining him were Josh Groban, Neil Patrick Harris, Leslie Odom Jr., Kelli O’Hara and an all-star rendition of the song that gives the album its title, The Impossible Dream from Man of La Mancha.

We also talk about his diagnosis several years ago with ALS and how that inspired his Broadway pals to join the wonderful recording and inspired Lazar to think differently about his life and its purpose.

In the months since our conversation, Lazar has started the podcast: Aaron Lazar: Impossible Dreams which has grown in popularity. It’s thoughtful and engaging and covers topics ranging from health and healing to the performing arts and the joys of living life to the fullest.

On February 1st of this year, I attended Kelli O’Hara’s concert at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. I was thrilled when Aaron Lazar came out and joined her late in the concert. As he always does, he sounded great.

Aaron Lazar is a great guy as you’ll see in this interview that was posted on January 23, 2025.
