Get out your lightsabers! John Williams’ scores for Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back will each be performed twice this week at the Hollywood Bowl with the David Newman conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic in four live music to picture concerts.

When we recently spoke with Newman, he made it very clear how much he admired John Williams and his music. So it is no surprise that in addition to conducting Jaws a few weeks ago he is tackling these two scores.

You will have the chance to see A New Hope on Tuesday and Friday. You can see The Empire Strikes Back on Thursday and and Saturday. And if you have forgotten your lightsaber, they will be giving out a limited number of them at each performance.

Dressing in costume is encouraged for all Jedi.
