Last year, Susan Grace, the creator of the indispensable newsletter Grace Notes, realized a life-long dream of producing a show in which songs from Broadway musicals are performed out of context and wildly reinterpreted. Her show is called Twisted Broadway and on Sunday, April 14th, Twisted Broadway 2 will be performed Upstairs at Vitello’s. The plan for this Theatre LA Cares event is to become an annual event.
Like its predecessor, Twisted Broadway 2 is a fundraiser for the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. The cast assembled for this sequel includes Eydie Alyson, Teri Bibb, Joshua Finkel, Gabi Garcia, Susan Grace, jackbenny, Mark D. Kaufmann, Linda Kerns, Ashley Fox Linton, Melissa Lyons Caldretti, Kevin McMahon, Todd Macofsky, Daniel David Stewart and Diane Vincent.
Twisted Broadway 2 is directed by Karon Kearney. Music direction is by Michael Lavine.
